Two top-fives highlight Crapser's weekend

On Friday, May 20, Cory and the Crapser Racing team invaded the Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie for a $1,000-to-win Modified show. He started and finished fourth in his heat race, and then mechanical problems forced him out of the main event where he was scored in the 18th spot.

The team headed to the Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond on Saturday, May 21. In the heat, Cory advanced from fourth to third and then raced from sixth on the grid to a third-place finish in the feature race.

On Sunday, May 22, the venue was the Mason City Motor Speedway in Mason City, Iowa, for the season-opening event. After advnacing from fifth to third in the heat, Cory advanced seven spots in the "A" Main to grab the fifth position.

The United States Modified Touring Series will embark on a five-night five-track Memorial Day Weekend racing vacation beginning Wednesday, May 25, at the Crawford County Speedway in Denison, Iowa.

Thursday brings the USMTS Casey’s Cup powered by S&S Fishing & Rental to the Mason City Motor Speedway in Mason City, Iowa, for the first of two stops this season, and Friday will find the series at the Chateau Raceway in Lansing, Minn.

The Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn., will host the USMTS on Saturday with the swing climaxing Sunday, May 29, at the Upper Iowa Speedway in Decorah, Iowa.

All five events will pay $3,000 to win and a minimum of $250 to start. Points are up for grabs in the RealTruck.com Northern Region presented by Day Motor Sports.
